I know it’s only Monday but think about what you want to accomplish this week. You’ve probably got a pretty big list in mind, right? Good! Now think about how you’re going to achieve those goals. Do you wish you had more time? You’re not alone.
Wishing to find more hours in the day isn’t going to work; however, you can find ways to become more productive during the hours you already have. But it’s not that easy is it? In fact, I’m feeling exceptionally unproductive, unfocused, and unmotivated today. Why? Well, there’s always a good excuse, right?
Enough excuses already. Let’s get it done so come Friday we’re all feeling relaxed and accomplished. Instead of feeling rushed and stressed to finish the week’s tasks. Here are a few productivity tips I’m even using this current moment.

Plan and Organize Your Time
Optimize Your Workspace
Have you ever considered how the lighting in your workspace could affect your productivity? It does! Here’s a tip: use compact fluorescent (CFL) light bulb if possible and use as much natural light as possible. Natural light boosts alertness and will even help you fall asleep at night. Bonus: spend 5 minutes at the end of every day to declutter and organize your workspace. That way you’re always ready to go in the morning.
Improve Your Personal Care
Ok, these might seem really obvious but that doesn’t mean we’re all good at sticking to them. So they’re worth a reminder.
- Get 7-8 hours of sleep each night.
- Exercise for at least 30 minutes each day. (Idea: take half your lunch break to walk around the block.)
- Eat healthy food throughout the day. (Idea: fill a drawer in your desk with healthy snacks like bananas, trail mix, granola bars, and maybe even some dark chocolate.)
